I love designing tablescapes. I started back in September 2010 and I now design tablescapes to share on my blog as well as on "Between Naps on the Porch" for Tablescape Thursdays.

My passion for designing tablescapes has sent me out on a search to buy more dishes that I can share every week.

I also enjoy making my own napkins to go with my different dishes and I love to mix and match some of my beautiful dishes.

Japanese Dinner.

My family loves Japanese food !
This past Saturday night was my son Birthday so we did takeout
from a Japanese Restaurant down the stress from us.

I purchased the Sushi plates from Ross for
$3.49 each lest week. This was a great Idea for this dinner..
For the Appetizers ~~ Shrimp rolls with B.B.Q.spare ribs so Yummy..

The centerpiece was put together with some Dogwoods.

The wood Placemat's are also from Ross some time ago.

I love my candle holders from Hobby Lobby!!
The colors are Amber and Black.

I purchased the soup bowls also from Ross.
Tonight I am putting Hot & Sour soup in them with noodles.

I love the writing on them !!
Tranquility..

How about Happiness.
Let's have a glass of wine OK.

I hope you are having a good time at my party!!

It's time for dinner now~~ Fried Redfish with Shrimp fried rice.
For dessert New York Cheesecake for my Son Birthday..

I hope you all come Back!!
Please take a moment to comment. Thank you so Much !!

I've never had Japanese food or sushi, but your tablescape would get me in the mood to try. I should come to your house so you could teach me how to eat these foods. Wouldn't need any help with that cheesecake though. Yum! Those plates with the writing are very pretty and are wonderful to set the mood for any Asian meal.

Thank you for sharing again this week at the Your Cozy Home Party!

Hi Diane!

How nice to actually use the tablescape! I usually don't since it is just me and The Mr. and he like dinner in front of the tv...

Sounds like the food will be just as good as the table is pretty!

Thanks for sharing at my party :)

Very nice, Diane! This has so many fun elements that really lend to the theme! I have never heard of Fried Redfish, though. I'll have to Google that. I don't eat a lot of fish, so most kinds are new to me, I suppose! :-) This was a great way to make Japanese takeout special!

Hi Diane! My eye was just drawn to the thumbnail of this post on BNOTP! I love everything Japanese! Those plates are awesome and I'm sure if I had seen them, I would own a set, too. I like how you layered the wooden placemat over another one. I just saw those candleholders at Hobby Lobby yesterday and I may have to go back! Love the napkins, and the white blooms are perfect for lightening things up! Hope your son had a great birthday!

Your dishes all go together so well and I love the napkins and dogwood with your theme. We don't have a Ross or T.J. Maxx store here, but if we did I am sure I would be a frequent shopper there!
