I love designing tablescapes. I started back in September 2010 and I now design tablescapes to share on my blog as well as on "Between Naps on the Porch" for Tablescape Thursdays.

My passion for designing tablescapes has sent me out on a search to buy more dishes that I can share every week.

I also enjoy making my own napkins to go with my different dishes and I love to mix and match some of my beautiful dishes.

Re/Post Desert Rose Tablescape~

My inspiration for this Tablescape was  my purchase of the
Desert Rose dinner plates from Ebay.~~
I did use my cream tablecloth, and added my new Vintage style
embroidered tablecloth topper!! love the light green color.
My old oven safe stoneware soup bowls are for my
French Onion soup !!

I picked up four Desert Rose salad plates from Ross for $1.99 each~~
This is my Desert Rose dinner plate so sweet ~~
I love all the Spring colors.
I purchased my dark brown charger at Pier One !!~~
Now you all know this white flower plate is from Pier One ~~
I would love to have you all over for dinner some time.
I hope you all come back!!!
Please take a moment to comment and thank you
so much!

Beautiful tablescape! Your Desert Rose dishes are lovely and look great on the brown chargers. Loved seeing the French Onion Soup bowls, I often make that kind of soup and have similar bowls but not nearly as nice of a colour as yours!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind comments. I'm already a follower of yours and just added you to my sidebar so I can check in when you create something new!

Diane, I'm thrilled to see they still have Desert Rose. When I was a very young wife, I had a few pieces. After a divorce, remarriage and umpteen moves, I have no idea what happened to them :( I think I'll just live vicariously thru your blog. Just lovely. Thanks for the follow. Am happily returning the favor.

Diane, this is a lovely patten. I love how you paired it with black place mats and dark chargers. It really lets the pink pop! The stems and flatware add a soft touch. Love the little white flower plates. Lovely tablescape.

Hello, you're tablescapes are beautiful. One thing about being on vacation, I get to visit all my bloggers in the mornings before I start my day. My mom had this set, gift from her grandmother which was her wedding gift from french mother-in-law! lol It would still be in the family if it wasn't for a fire that destroyed family home in 1980! Are these old pieces or are they reproducing the pattern. I would love to have a few serving pieces to remind me of mom; plus the colors will go well with my rooster collection. By the way, I also love and collect most things blue and white, especially blue willow!

Hi Diane!

I am finally here to thank you for sharing at my party! I love you tablesetting. The brown chargers and vase really work well with the dishes as they have the brown stems around the rim.

I remember those Desert Rose dishes from the 60's, my mother had wanted them but went with rooster plates instead. Boy... I wish I had both those services today!

The Desert Rose is an actually flower here where I live. I want to get it as it is like a cactus/succulent plant that has a pretty pink, single petal rose looking flower.
