I love designing tablescapes. I started back in September 2010 and I now design tablescapes to share on my blog as well as on "Between Naps on the Porch" for Tablescape Thursdays.

My passion for designing tablescapes has sent me out on a search to buy more dishes that I can share every week.

I also enjoy making my own napkins to go with my different dishes and I love to mix and match some of my beautiful dishes.

~~~Fields Of Poppies.
My Inspiration for this tablescape was having
some friends over for Veterans Day dinner.
A special thank you to all of the Veterans today and all of those
that are presently serving in the Military and their families.
                              Bless you all!
I purchased my poppy salad dishes and soup bowls
some time ago from Ross, for $12.00 for both sets of four.
My centerpiece ~~ I put together two years ago with
silk Poppy flowers. Time to light the candles.
I love the red poppies on the plates with the
white back ground . I did use my red chargers to keep
the colors together for this tablescape.
You all know !! I always mix my plates
with other dishes.
The white dinner plates are from Pier One.
I only have four layers of plates this time. I put a red tablecloth under
the Vintage embroidered table topper with the red poppy flowers.
I love candle light with dinner .
Will its time to eat right. First for the soup French onion with a Greek salad.
Then for the dinner Beef stroganoff with rice. Dessert lemon mousse so Yummy.
I hope you all come Back!! Please take a moment to comment.
Thank you so much!
Iam linking up with these Blogs for there linky parties.
Love the Poppies Diane! So pretty! Thanx for stopping by earlier! The Nutcracker Market is fun! I enjoy attending every year but no booth for me! Not enough time in the day to prepare for something so large with two little boys. Maybe one day when they are grown and gone. Have a great night!
The mix and match dish combinations you have used are gorgeous! The candles, the flowers, all of it so well coordinated! Did you find when you began to get interested in tablescaping, that the more you did it the more idea's that popped into your head?
I am hoping...hoping :) that it happens to me.
Right now I just stand and stare at the table...
Perhaps it's like trying to dress with a very limited amount of clothing and accessories. I think I am short on accessories and also basics..of tablescaping. Not sure where on earth to start. :)
I am hoping by popping in here I will learn from you. From what I see, I think I will LEARN a lot. Some of the blogging women have so much to work with. That is why I am hitting those garage sales and thrift stores.
I have not been to a Ross in years and the last time they sold only clothes and handbags and shoes. Dishes?? wow!
Loved this post. Gorgeous!!
I joined tons of blogs but my rose didn't have my name on it. I have fixed that this last month and when I follow people you can now tell it's me. Have a great week!
